why csa? :: educational model

Cleveland School of the Arts (CSA) has an interdisciplinary approach to learning and academics. The arts are integrated into a curriculum which focuses on being prepared for college and helping students discover and express themselves through the arts.

Beyond the standard college preparatory and district requires courses CSA offers honors courses, AP courses and the PSEOP program for students who qualify. The English classes use the very successful Accelerated Reader program (the leaders of which have been so impressed with our success they have recognized CSA and our students for the work done with the program). The Math department includes course offerings beyond the basic requirements such as Pre-Calculus and Statistics. Our Social Studies department boasts great success in the much-touted annual mock trial competition. The graduation rate for CSA is 100% and Ohio Graduation Test results are consistently and significantly above the state averages in all five subject areas. These accomplishments plus a post-secondary entrance rate that is over 90% have been achieved.
