Communication Arts is a computer based course, grades 9-12, that uses the various elements of design as the basis for individual and group projects. Students work in the Apple Mac-based Lab, primarily working with Adobe Creative Suites software to actualize design "solutions" to modern-day problems. Students engage in group critiques and take inspiring field trips to University Circles Institutions such as the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Institute of Art, Nesnadny + Schwartz. In the initial year, 2009 students have been recognized for their work by the Scholastics Art & Writing Awards, The Ohio Youth Governor?s Exhibit, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?s Rock Your World competition.
