Recent graduate Jasmine Petty was given the honor of “Grand Prize
Winner” for the Congressional Arts Competition.
Accompanied by teacher Toni Starinsky, Jasmine traveled to Washington, D.C. to
receive her award from Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones. Her winning piece is
currently on display at Capitol Hill. Another graduate Jamal Conkle,
who is currently majoring in Psychology at the University of Toledo, won the
Scholastics Gold Key for a unique photographic portrait of one of his
classmates. Conkle traveled to Carnegie Hall with the assistance of the Friends
of CSA, where he received his medal of distinction. While in NYC, Conkle got to
visit various art galleries and cultural institutions. His piece is
currently moved to the
U.S. Department of Education. |
AUDITIONS (Grades 7th – 11th)

ART::
Bring a recent work that your child is proud of from a portfolio or a
sketchbook. Cartoon drawings should not be included. At the audition,
materials will be provided and you will be asked to draw a “still life”
from observation. Your work will be judged on composition, use of space
and execution.
