The Vocal Music curriculum focuses on the study of varied styles of choral music, including: Classical, Spiritual and Jazz. Students in the intermediate choir receive instruction on vocal blending skills, sight-reading, diction and inner-part singing. The Dett Concert Choir builds upon these foundational skills and exposes students to the finest choral music ever composed. The Dett Concert Choir has appeared in Greater Cleveland’s most prestigious venues, including the Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland Museum of Art and Severance Hall.

The JazzArt Ensemble is a highly trained, competitive, and disciplined performance ensemble. Cleveland School of the Arts students may audition to study and perform with this ensemble.
