Students in the Instrumental Music program develop and refine their technical skills through the rigorous study of classical, jazz, and popular music styles.
The Instrumental Music curriculum is designed to develop the musical intelligence and potential of every student. Students focus their studies in one of two primary ensembles: Orchestra or Band.
Students receive instruction from Instrumental Music faculty and professional teaching artists in large and small ensembles, sectionals, private lessons, and most importantly, individual practice. Under the direction of these professionals, students have performed at The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Cleveland Natural History Museum, The Cleveland Institute of Music, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Cuyahoga Community College, Cleveland State University, and Severance Hall.
