The Dance curriculum is rooted in the understanding that an active and creative mind is the nerve center of a dancing body. Instruction focuses on the development of the mind of the dance student. The mind controls the body where a storehouse of movement and kinesthetic intelligence lie. Additionally, students gain understanding and compassion for others.

Dance faculty and professional teaching artists collaborate with students in the studio to build their technical skills across study areas. Students receive disciplined instruction which teaches them to follow guidelines, thoughtfully respond to criticism, and what is needed to achieve their goals.
