History

Cleveland School of the Arts (CSA) is a specialty arts school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) currently serving students in grades 8-12 for the 2016-17 academic year. CSA is known for its strengths in both academics and arts.

Established in 1981, CSA incorporates all aspects of the arts into its teaching approach. The school offers a joint-college preparatory academic and a pre-professional arts program in seven majors: Dance, Instrumental Music (Orchestra & Band), Vocal Music, Literary Arts, Photography, Theatre, and Visual Arts. One hundred percent of graduating seniors apply to and are accepted into institutions of higher education.
